This Privacy Policy explains how VerifiedStays ("VerifiedStays," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our website and AI travel assistant (the "Service"). It describes what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here.

1. Information You Provide

We process the travel requests you enter, such as a destination, dates, number of guests, budget, and preferences. We may also receive messages you send to us and information you choose to include in them. You can use VerifiedStays without creating an account, and we do not ask for payment details to use the Service. Please do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information into a search.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, our systems and providers may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages and features viewed, approximate timing, and error information. We also record information about outbound booking-link clicks so we can operate the referral relationship, measure performance, and understand which options are useful. We may associate this activity with a randomly generated browser or session identifier; we do not use it to identify you by name.

4. AI and Travel Data Providers

To answer a request, we may send the relevant search text and travel parameters to an AI service provider. We also request hotel and pricing information from travel-data and booking-link providers. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We share what is reasonably needed for the requested function, and you should avoid including information that is not needed for your search.

5. When You Follow a Booking Link

A booking link may contain referral or click-attribution information. When you follow it, you leave VerifiedStays and the hotel, booking provider, or affiliate network may receive information about the referral and your visit. If you search, book, or provide personal or payment information there, that provider's privacy policy and terms apply. VerifiedStays does not receive your booking password or payment card number through the Service.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Session Recording

We use cookies and similar technologies, including browser storage, to remember settings, keep a preview or experiment consistent, understand how the Service is used, and measure referral activity. Depending on your visit, these technologies may include Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion measurement, Mixpanel, and Microsoft Clarity. Microsoft Clarity records session replays and heatmaps of page interactions, including pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, and navigation, so we can find usability problems. You can block or clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; some features may then work differently.

7. How We Share Information

We share information with vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, and operate VerifiedStays; AI and travel-data providers needed to fulfill a search; and booking or affiliate partners when you follow their links. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, sale, or other business transfer. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not knowingly use the Service to build a profile of children.

8. Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, including providing the Service, maintaining referral and financial records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of data and the provider involved. Information stored in your browser remains there until it expires or you clear it.

9. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may use the Service without an account. You can limit cookies and analytics through your browser, device, or available provider controls, and you can clear local browser storage. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To ask a privacy question or make a request, email us. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

11. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, altered, or disclosed improperly. We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable legal requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or our practices change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after an update means the revised policy applies to your use going forward.
